Alma Mae McConnell-Page, 96, of N. Kingsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Ashtabula County Nursing Home. Born March 26, 1926, in Spangler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Emma (Grazier) Mansell. A longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Kingsville for 60 years, Alma was very involved with many aspects of the church. She sang in the choir for over 50 years and volunteered for the Community Heart Walks and Mother Daughter Banquets. Alma was also a member of the Orion Chapter 12 Eastern Star. She worked at Olson’s Bakery for 18 years and then she worked for 20 years at Ashcraft and Happy Hearts. Alma had a very adventurous, fun-loving spirit. At 90 years old, she was parasailing, ziplining and sliding down the big water slides at Splash Lagoon. A world traveler, Alma enjoyed the ocean, going on cruises and spending time with her daughter and son-in-law at their Florida home. She loved to golf and was known to always have a cup of black coffee in hand no matter what time of day or night it was. Above all, Alma treasured her adventures with her loving family. She will be deeply missed by many. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Shirley (Gene) Yoak of Orlando, FL, Nancy Frey of Kelloggsville, Terry (Regina) McConnell, of N. Kingsville, Jackie (Joe) Bernardo of Jefferson, Emmy (Mike) Mauro of N. Kingsville; grandchildren, Shawn Yoak, Scott Yoak, Bob Frey, Terri Frey-Potts, John Frey, Kevin McConnell, Brian McConnell, Chad McConnell, Kristopher Roach, Devaron Richards, Nichole Engelmann, Tia Rhodes, Mariah Mauro; 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Woodrow McConnell; second husband, Forde Page; her brothers and sister; son-in-law, Bill Frey, grandson, Michael Mauro, Jr. Calling hours will be held from 11AM-1PM on Monday, August 22, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, 6003 OH-193, Kingsville, OH 44048, immediately followed by the funeral service starting at 1PM. Pastor David Hines will be officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
