Valerie A. McClelland Ashtabula- Valerie Ann McClelland, 83 completed her earthly journey on Friday, October 28, 2022, surrounded in love with her family. Valerie was born in Cleveland Ohio on December 7, 1938, the daughter of Helen Montgomery. Valerie attended St. Stanislaus school and graduated from The Cooper School of Art. While a resident of Cleveland, Valerie was in many theatrical productions playing the piano and lending her creative talents. Valerie had moved to the Ashtabula area thirty years ago and always felt a part of the community. She attended and taught classes in several churches; Memorial Spiritual Church of Cleveland, International General Assembly of Spiritualism Lily Dale of New York; Friends Temple of Ashtabula; she also taught at the Total Learning and Wellness Center. A prolific writer, Valerie created and published the “Seeker’s Manual.” Valerie had eclectic hobbies; she read books on Astrology and various other books, she authored many poems which were nationally published and won awards, enjoyed listening to music, teaching people about Meta Physical Spirituality and caring for her many feline friends. Valerie was a devoted mom and grandma, she loved unconditionally and fiercely and supported during your trials and celebrated your joys. Valerie is survived by her children, Karla and Tim Vencill of Kingsville and Ryon McClelland of Ashtabula; two grandchildren, Alexes and Zackery and four great grandchildren, Carter, Avalynn, Alaina, and Malia. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Spera and her parents. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 12 noon at the Zaback Williams Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. Nancy Radar officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5PM -7PM on Monday October 31, 2022, at the funeral home.
