She started her career as a third grade teacher at the West Junior High School building, then served many years as a Librarian at the Ashtabula County District Library, and finally enjoyed the job of Bookkeeper for Grace Christian Academy.

She had been a member of the Harris Memorial Presbyterian Church and later the Berean Bible Church and enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, gardening, bird watching, and reading.
