Obituary of David C. Tredente

David C. Tredente, 87, of Ashtabula passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 17, 2022. He was born February 26, 1935, in Ashtabula the son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Stanziano) Tredente. A lifelong area resident, David graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1953. After graduation, David began his working career with his father at Ashtabula Leather Craft. He later took over the family business from his father and successfully ran the company until his retirement in 2005. David was a man of faith; he was a longtime member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. In his leisure time he could be found working in his yard which was very important to him. He is survived by his daughters, Renee (Fred) Smith, Susan Simrak, and Paula Tredente Cantini; son, David Tredente; grandchildren, Freddie (Alyssa) Smith, Tara (Seth) Pacileo, Sheree (Jeremy) Shardo, Sage Cantini, Seve Cantini, and David Tredente, Jr.; and his precious great-grandchildren, Mila and Harlow Shardo. David was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Henning; daughter-in-law, Debbie Tredente; son-in-law, Andy Simrak, Jr.; and his parents. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 11 AM at Our Lady of Peace, Mt. Carmel Parish, with Father Raymond Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 3120 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
