Obituary of Harry Lee Story

Harry Lee Story, Sr., 71, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Country Club Retirement in Ashtabula. Harry was born on March 13, 1951, in Ashtabula, the son of the late Henry Lee Story Sr. and Iola (Stevens) Story. He graduated from Ashtabula High School. He was a mill operator for many years for True Temper. Aside from work, Harry had many hobbies and interests; he loved horseback and motorcycle riding, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a basketball and softball fan. Harry was also a huge fan of R&B singer-songwriter Marvin Gaye. Left to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Peter Lee Story and Harry Lee Story, both of Columbus; 6 grandchildren, Shakeela Story, Harry Lee Story III, Daniell Ross, Jeffrey Jones, Takiya Williams, and Jada Holmes; 2 great-grandchildren, Cashmier Story, Syhrus Gregg, Justice and Liberty Brewer, and Natalie Holmes; two surviving sisters, Gloria Broyles and Dorothy Dyer, both of Ashtabula; many nieces and nephews. Harry will also be remembered by his lifelong friend, Walter Coleman and Joe Pal. Along with Harry's parents, Henry and Iola, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Lee Story Jr., Harvey Lee Story, Edward Lee Story, Leroy Story; and a sister, Mary Story.
