Obituary of William Lyman Wrisley

William "Bill" Lyman Wrisley, 71, of North Kingsville, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Rae-Ann Nursing and Rehabilitation in Geneva.
He was born August 4, 1951, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, the son of the late William E. Wrisley and Charlotte V. (Cobb) Best. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1969 and later joined the United States Air Force and honorably served our country from 1971-1975.
Over the years Bill lived in Florida, and Illinois but primarily spent most of his life in different communities in Ashtabula County. Bill through life was an entrepreneur, he owned various businesses throughout his career in Auto Body, the Office Outlet and Office Depot and was a charter captain while living in Florida.
Bill enjoyed working with wood, or just helping someone in need. He was always someone you could count on.
Bill found peace in life when he was strumming his six strings or sitting on the banks of the water with a fishing pole.
He was actively involved with AA-12 step program. Bill was also a former member of the Ashtabula Chamber of Commerce and the Army Navy Union. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Carol (Roger) Robbins, Mona Roerdanz, Fawn Nagle, and Dina (Bob) Cockrell; nieces and nephews, Joe Tomsic, Danny (Lindie) Pifer, Sarah (Patrick) Hutzell, Philip (Telesa) Wrisley, Carol Moore, Mike Swyers, Holly (Brian) Rasco, Chris (Shelly) Oliver, Katie (Zack) Bell; great-nieces and nephews, Derryn, Alecia, Kaitlyn, Thomas, Jasmine, Philles, Philip Jr., Gunner, Tyhaira, Amanda, Hope, Faith, Nathan, Christian, and Jordan (Chloe); and two great-great nieces, Kalianna and Evelyn Rose.
Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Edward P. Wrisley; brothers-in-law, Jean R. Nagle, Jr., and Fred Roerdanz; great-nephew, Devlin; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 12PM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, with his nephew, Philip Wrisley, and his brother Chris McCain officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion.
A time of fellowship will follow the services at the funeral home.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 11AM until the time of service at 12PM.
