Frances L. “Fran” Smith, 94, of Ashtabula, peacefully passed away at home on January 7, 2023. She was born on July 28, 1928, the daughter of Walter and Ethel (Wagner) Luce.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Martin Smith, whom she married Sunday, August 23, 1953.
Frances is survived by her son, Craig (Heidi) Smith of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Allison Smith of Denver, Colorado; brother, Douglas (Sara Morris) Luce of Ashtabula; sister-in-law, Marsue (Richard) Randa of Ashtabula; and several nieces and nephews.
At her request, there will be no public visitation. A private family service will be held at Saybrook Cemetery in Ashtabula.
