Obituary of Tina Workman

Ashtabula Township- Bettina A. “Tina” Workman, 57, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 27, 2023, surrounded by family. Tina was born on December 6, 1965, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Herb and Betty (nee: Gehring) Hay. Over the years she has worked at the original Fuel Mart, in the offices of the StarBeacon, waitressing at Kardohely’s, as well as the produce manager at the former Value King. Being a dreamer, she always held on to the idea of working for herself, and she opened and operated Tina’s Helping Hand, cleaning the homes and offices of many clients for over 15 years. Tina also enjoyed gardening, always keeping a bucket and spade nearby, and would often “steal” wildflowers she loved on the side of the road and replanting them at her home. She had many hobbies, and would go all-in, giving her new hobby 110% of her time and efforts, and those included, going to the gym to lose weight, and becoming stronger; to riding her motorcycle “Frankenstein” and going on long rides with her husband Joseph; to learning about guns and honing her skills with them. Tina also loved music, more recently enjoyed Irish and folk lore music, growing up in the 60’s and 70’s she loved rock-n-roll. She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Workman; son, Joshua Workman; “adopted son” Alan “Joey” Long; parents, Herb and Betty Hay; brother, Shannon (Veronica) Hay; and many dear nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 5PM-7PM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula where a funeral service will follow at 7:00PM.
