Carol J. Mezak, 76, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Carol was born in Ashtabula on November 13, 1946, to the late Loretta (Patterson) and Edward Corey. She was a home health care worker for many years. Carol loved playing lottery tickets, going to the American Legion, driving around, and feeding geese. She had a love for animals and adored her bird, Cinnamon.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jamie (Ben Vass) Mezak, William Newsome, Jeanie Newsome, Jackie Welch, and Tony Santana. She leaves behind 21 grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Aside from Carol’s late parents, she is preceded in death by her six siblings, Henry, Ronny, Raymond, Lenny, Sharon, and Lois.
Memorial service for Carol will be held at 3PM on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Ducro Funeral Services 4524 Elm Ave. Ashtabula, OH 44004 with Rev. Kenneth Roberts, pastor of
