Obituary of Telisa T. Colbert

Telisa Terrell Colbert, 53, of Ashtabula, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. A resident of Ashtabula all her life, Telisa was born October 13, 1969, to the late Eddie and Catherine (Kurtz) Colbert and graduated Ashtabula High School in 1988. Throughout the years, she worked in health care and a daycare teacher. A woman of God, Telisa was a faithful member of Greater Miracle Temple Church of God, the Praise Team, leader of the youth group and assistant to the First Lady. A giving spirit, she loved all the neighbor kids and never hesitated to help others in the community. In her spare time, Telisa enjoyed music, dancing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory is her two daughters, Terrin and Alexea Colbert; granddaughter and best friend, Harmony Colbert; nine siblings, Eddie L. Colbert, Jr., Freddye Colbert, Estelle (Rev. Paul) Forney, Tamara P. Powell, Adrian L. Colbert, Tommy W. Colbert, Darryl L. Colbert, Corneal Colbert and Eddie L. (Amanda) Colbert III; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Catherine Colbert and her daughter, Atira Colbert. Calling hours will be held from 10AM to 11AM on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home immediately followed by the funeral service at 11AM with Bishop Mitchell Jones, pastor of Greater Miracle Temple Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Garden, Kingsville, OH.
