Michele Lea Hay, 51, of Orwell, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. Born July 24, 1971 in Erie, PA, she was a daughter of Richard and Diana (Craft) Walston. A resident of Ashtabula County for most of her adult life, Michele enjoyed transporting Amish children to and from school in the Orwell area. Sipping on some wine or coffee, Michele watched any type of crime show and enjoyed playing Yahtzee and Scrabble with her family. She loved animals especially her dog, Isis and her cat, Chloe. Proud of her Native American Indian heritage, she collected dreamcatchers, Native American dolls, paintings, and jewelry. Michele was also an avid Steelers fan and listened to all types of music, particularly 70’s Rock. Michele loved to sit around a nice bonfire and enjoy the peace in the air, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Krystal (fiancé, Jeff Loyd) Learn of Ashtabula and Samantha (Alex) Fulaytar of Geneva; son, Zackery (Maryssa) Hay of Florida; sister, Cindy Burnette of Orwell; eight grandchildren, Katharine Learn, John, Austin, and Makayla Guy, Olivia and Oliver Fulaytar, Kaiden and Korbyn Hay.
