Obituary of Janice Fay Stewart

Janice Faye Stewart, 73, of Ashtabula passed away, Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1950, in Chardon, Ohio the daughter of the late Gerald Wilbur and Lula Pearl (Stevens) Ensminger. A lifelong area resident, Janice graduated from the Ashtabula Voed- Knoedler School of Nursing Program. Janice worked as an LPN for many years at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. When she was able, Janice was active at the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God where she sang in the choir and would volunteer her time to help in any way she could. Mrs. Stewart enjoyed crafts, making wreaths, painting, and doing ceramics were among her favorites. Janice loved her family more then anything and she always let you know where you stood. She had no filter and would tell you how it was. She is survived by her husband, Amos Stewart, Sr.; sons, Amos (Keyona Turner) Stewart, Jr. and Gerald (Naporsha Turner)Stewart; sister, Aretta Cottrell; grandchildren, Eric Corey-Isaac Stewart, Kyle Wyatt Stewart, Tyler Austin Stewart, Rodney Stewart, Courtney Stewart, Elijah Stewart, and Kory Kayleah, and Kenyon; as well as six great-grandchildren. Janice was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Lee Stewart; siblings, William “Bill” Ensminger, Jean Ensminger, Kay Parson, Gerald Ensminger, Linda Ensminger, and Margie Ensminger, and her parents. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 1PM at the Greenlawn memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3140 E. Center St., North Kingsville, Ohio. Friends may call on Thursday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Should friends desire memorial contributions in her name may be made in her name to the family.
